Nya påven har fått namnet Francis efter Franciskus av Assisi, eftersom han sägs vara ödmjuk och ha arbetat bland sjuka och sägs leva enkelt. Jag tror att hans namn också ger en hint om hans uppdrag och i vilken riktning han är satt att leda katolska kyrkan.
Fransciskus av Assisi sålde sina ägodelar för att ge till fattiga, och valde att leva i fattigdom och med fattiga och sjuka.
Han såg också det gudomliga i naturen, och ska ha predikat för och välsignat även djur. Därför räknas han som djurens och naturens apostel. 1980 utsågs Francis av Assisi till ekologins helgon.
Så det betyder eventuellt att nya påven med namn efter Franciskus ska verka för och inspirera till uppoffringar för fattiga, och för att verka ännu mer för ekologisk, grön religion. Interfaith, verka för att samla alla religioner under ett tak för jordens, naturens skull.
